I know this song very well because I love the soundrack of the movie from which is extracted, Vedo Nudo ( I See Naked), starring Nino Manfredi. An erotic commedy of a Italy by the end of the sixties, a bit puritan, a bit troubled. Anyway fantastic Wess, who recently passed away, with a mythical rhythm'n'blues killa. Written by an inspirated maestro Armando Trovaioli.

Conosco questo pezzo molto bene perchè amo la colonna sonora del film da cui è preso, Vedo Nudo, con Nino Manfredi. Una commedia erotica di un'Italia fine anni '60, un po' puritana, un po' torbida. Comunque grande Wess, di recente scomparso con una killer rhythm'n'blues mitica. Scritto da un ispirato maestro Armando Trovaioli.

The Others & Pataxo - Tempo

Yesterday, Sunday the 29th of November, was a very good day of digging. Amongst the best stuff I dug, there's an absolut killer entitled Tempo (Time), by The Others & Pataxo. A band from Bari that recorded only this 45, unfortunately found in excellent conditions, but coverless. The band has a certain relevance due to the drummer Stefano D'Orazio who became later a popstar whit his band the Pooh. This smash, with an imprinting very funk is embellished by a horn section really strong. Great 45.

Ieri, domenica 29 novembre, è stata una buona giornata di diggin'. Tra le migliori cose che ho trovato c'è questa killer intitolata Tempo dei The Others & Pataxo. Un gruppo di Bari che ha inciso solo questo 45 giri, sfortunatamente da me trovato in buone condizioni, ma senza copertina. Il gruppo ricopre una sua certa importanza dal momento che si tratta del gruppo in cui militò Stefano D'Orazio prima di diventare il batterista dei Pooh. Il brano, con un imprinting molto funk è arricchito da una sezione fiati tiratissima. Grande 45.

Le Madri - Mary Flying

Le Madri. Quasi nessuno ha mai sentito nominare questo sconosciuto gruppo. Ha pubblicato solo questo 45 giri con i brani di Vince Tempera. Si tratta di una band basata su una classica line up da heavy progressive con punte psichedeliche. Raro 45 giri, raggiunge sul mercato buone quotazioni.

Le Madri, The Mothers. Hardly anybody had rumors about this unknown band. They published only this 45 rpm with Vince Tempera tracks. It is a classic lined up band, heavy progressive influenced with psychedelic flashes. Rare 45, this rates high value on the market.

Raptus - Eleanor Rigby

Gruppo del nord Italia, Le Impressioni hanno deciso di chiamarsi Raptus per incidere un paio di 45 giri di cover dei Beatles. Tra queste una ritmatissima cover di Eleanor Rigby, che qui vediamo su edizione juke-box. La migliore, insieme alla versione di Ernie Garrett. Tra i componenti della band, Paolo Borin alla voce, Paolo Podda alla batteria (proveniente dai Capsicum Red) e Tolo Marton, più tardi chitarrista de Le Orme. North Italy based band, Le Impressioni (The Impressions) decided to change their name into Raptus to record a coupple of Beatles covers’ 45 rpm. Between these a very rhythmic cover of Eleanor Rigby, here in a juke-box version. The best, together with Ernie Garrett version. Poche informazioni in merito a questo 45 giri, senz'altro estremamente raro. Google sembra non restituire risultati apprezzabili, salvo un'avvenuta vendita di un EP spagnolo contenente quattro pezzi, compreso questo.
Glauco Masetti, sassofonista, lo ricordiamo per le sue importanti collaborazioni con artisti importanti del calibro di Chet Baker, Berto Pisano, Gianni Basso, Oscar Valdambrini.
Shake for James è un ottimo brano beat con punte di easy listening che ricordano alla lontana esperienze come i Trombones Unlimited e la Tony Hatch Orchestra.
